I've been terribly ill as of late, and things have been slow in the House. I have since updated all of the features that were missing, and this week will be the start of my own contributions to said section again. I will have In The Attic as a weekly column, as well as another weekly spotlight, based in bringing little-known or long-forgotten hip hop artists, single and albums to light.

I really need to be better about updating this front page. A lot of changes have come into the House as of late, and we are posting new, fresh content every single day in the features section.

Almost finished with Haute Magie's second RELIC, a self-titled double cassette from Bird From The Abyss. So close we can taste the doomy feathers. Hopefull, this should be out in about two and a half weeks or so, then we hope to have at least two to four RELICs out into the world every month.

Two more new items in the Shoppe, two different formats (CD & LP) of Coil's "Panic / Tainted Love" single, a fantastic little slice of Balance-Christopherson love from the Scatology / pre-Horse Rotorvator era. I am also slowly building a new Shoppe, as I've grown tired of how bare and stocky the current one is.

Something else very important on the horizon; Haute Magie is the new official all-encompassing media output for HOTH. Evil Genus may handle film production in the future, but from this point on, physical media will come only bearing the name of Magie.

The House is completely finished being rebuilt. There are still a few rooms that require dusting, but everything checks out just fine thus far.

William Bowers is currently being published every Friday, with his column Adventures In Fringe Living, and between William and myself, we will have at least six new reviews posted every week. We are still currently seeking writers; see the newsletter and the contribute page for more details.

We are also still currently are working on Haute Magie's second new release, a double cassette from Bird From the Abyss.

In distribution news, the Shoppe now has three new items;

Wendy Carlos' classic Moog LP "Switched On Bach" in almost perfect condition and two of music maker and electronics-breaker extraordinaire Dylan Palme's newest creations, the Photon Theremin synthesiser and a new line of Contact Mics. These wonderful items and more can be viewed and purchased straight from the Shoppe. He Of The House is now the official distro for all of Dylan's work, so expect many more pieces in the near future.

RELIC 001, "Post Modern" by William Bowers officially hit the Doorstep on May 30th, 2011, and is now available from the Shoppe for ten dollars plus shipping. Pick up a copy now and truly help support the 'independent music community' through our brand spankin' new royalty programme.

We are currently working on Haute Magie's second release (RELIC 002), which will be a double cassette from Bird From The Abyss', compiling all past released works and a few unheard treasures into one amazing double album. This will be released in a screenprinted cardstock bookfold jacket with a full sized poster insert replete with artwork and liner notes. We are also currently working on Mike Bruno's LP "The Sad Sisters", the split cassette between the late David Carter and Ryan Harris' The Witch Family, and the Magie debut of California's Ross Major, pairing "Horatio Hymns" (LP) with "Farewell" (cassette). There are many others in store, and expect some Summer / Spring tours in support of a few of these fine releases.

Longtime friend and purveyor of weird sounds, Weird White Wolves' own Lee Caldwell will be joining us in The House for dinner and a show; an interview, rather. Expect to see some fine brain-picking soon enough - something we're going to make a habit of for our artists. Expect an interview with Mr. Bowers soon, as well, covering everything from his favourite electronic records to what the B stands for.

We are officially back in business. Haute Magie has its first official new release coming out on replicated, glassmastered CDs, as William Bowers' EP "Post Modern".

These will be available for order on Monday, the 30th of May, for $10 plus shipping.
